How do I get started with the app?
Download Shkiper AI from the App Store, Google Play or RuStore, sign up by email or via Apple/Google/Yandex, pick a course (e.g. ISSA Coastal Skipper) and start asking the AI tutor questions. The first few sessions are free.
I forgot my password or cannot sign in
On the sign-in screen tap “Forgot password?” and enter the email you registered with — we will send a reset link. If the email does not arrive within 10 minutes, check the spam folder. Still no luck — write to hello@shkiper.app, include the account email, and we will help you regain access.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app → “Settings” → “Account” → “Delete account”. All your data (chat history, progress, subscriptions) will be permanently deleted within 30 days, in accordance with the Privacy Policy. You can also delete the account by writing to hello@shkiper.app from the email used at registration.
Why does the app ask for microphone and camera access?
The microphone is needed for voice mode: you dictate the question, the AI replies by voice — handy on the road or in class. The camera is used to recognise diagrams and figures from the textbooks — point the camera at a page and Shkiper will explain what is shown. Access is requested only at the moment a feature is used and can be revoked in the device system settings.
The AI answer contains a mistake — what to do?
Tap the 👎 icon under the answer — we get a notification and review it. You can also send a clarification to hello@shkiper.app with the subject “AI error” and a description of the problem (a screenshot helps a lot). We continuously improve answer quality and update the knowledge base regularly.
The app crashes or runs slowly
First try closing and reopening the app. If that does not help — make sure the latest version from the app store is installed. For repeated crashes write to hello@shkiper.app and include: device model, OS version, Shkiper version (visible in “Settings” → at the bottom of the screen) and what you were doing when the crash happened.
How do I cancel or change a subscription?
Subscriptions purchased via the App Store or Google Play are managed in the corresponding store settings (Apple ID / Google Play Subscriptions). Subscriptions via YooKassa are cancelled in the app: “Settings” → “Subscription” → “Manage”. Refunds for the unused period are possible in accordance with the Terms of Use.
